Chevrolet Malibu Engine

 

Chevrolet Malibu owners have experienced significant engine problems.   2016 and 2017 Chevy Malibu owners have experienced engine problem.  One issues is that the the  Malibu will go into Reduced Engine Power mode.  Here is one typical complaint,

“The first time the car had less than 1k miles on it!! It feels like a transmission problem. I am familiar with the system where the car will turn itself off while at a stoplight and then back on again- I’m fine with that system. What is not okay is when driving in DC rush hour traffic, accelerating, braking, or slowing down and the car will violently jerk.
