SUMMARY: WITHIN THE FIRST WEEK AFTER THIS THIRD REPAIR, THE TRANSMISSION WAS STARTING TO SLIP AGAIN.  EVERY TIME IT HAS BEEN WORSE THAN THE TIME BEFORE. THE LAST TIME THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED FROM 1ST TO 2ND GEAR. IT STUTTERED, HESITATED TO THE POINT OF STALLING, JERKED AND LURCHED FORWARD WHEN THE 2ND GEAR FINALLY ENGAGED. THERE WAS NO ACCELERATION AND IT WAS A STRUGGLE TO CLIMB THE SMALLEST HILL. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS AND FRANKLY SCARES ME TO DEATH. I HAVE TO WAIT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN ON CITY STREETS UNTIL THE TRAFFIC IS VERY CLEAR. THE CARS WAITING BEHIND ME ARE BLOWING HORNS, CURSING ME AND GIVING CRUDE GESTURES. MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY IS TRULY FRIGHTENING. STOP AND GO TRAFFIC FINDS ME STUTTERING ALONG. FORD HAS KNOWN OF THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2011 AND HAS YET TO FIND A SOLUTION. THEY CALL IT A SERVICE ACTION WHEN ACTUALLY IT SHOULD BE A RECALL. Date Complaint Filed: 09/28/2016

SUMMARY:

WITHIN THE FIRST 10,000 MILES OF OWNERSHIP THE TRANSMISSION IN OUR 2014 FORD FOCUS HAS BEEN REBUILT AND THE CLUTCH HAS BEEN REBUILT/FIXED AS WELL AS MULTIPLE SOFTWARE UPDATES APPLIED, AND WE HAVE COMPLAINED EVERY TIME WE TAKE THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS STILL BROKEN. IT SHUDDERS, JERKS, RUMBLES, HARD SHIFTS AND EVEN COMES CLOSE TO STALLING WITH NO ACCELERATION/MOVEMENT AT TIMES. I FEAR DRIVING IT THAT I CANNOT TAKE OFF FROM A STOP SAFELY WITHOUT THE TRANSMISSION FAILING AND I WILL END UP BEING HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE AS A RESULT. THIS TRANSMISSION IS DANGEROUS AND WILL RESULT IN ACCIDENTS. WORST TRANSMISSION I HAVE EVER OWNED AND FORD WILL NOT FIX NOR BUY US OUT OF THE CAR…ITS A LEMON!

SUMMARY:

THIS IS EXACTLY THE ISSUE I’VE BEEN HAVING. 8/5/2016 I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR THE 3RD TIME CONCERNING THE TRANSMISSION. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NO LONGER A COVERED ISSUE. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR I ASKED FOR A DIFFERENT ONE BECAUSE THE ONE I TEST DROVE LITERALLY FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING SO BAD I WASN’T GOING TO GET IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. I DROVE ANOTHER ONE AND IT WAS BETTER, HOWEVER STILL SHUTTERING. I WAS ASSURED BY THE SALES PERSON AT BEECHMONTFORD THIS WAS NORMAL

FORD WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND THEY WERE EXTENDING THE WARRENTY.THE SHUTTERING INCREASINGLY BECAME WORSE AND HAD BEGAN A LOUD GRINDING NOISE AND WAS STALLING SO BAD AT TAKE OFF I WAS WORRIED ABOUT HAVING AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF IT.THE ENGINE WOULD REV UP BUT WASN’T GOING ANYWHERE,THEN WOULD JERK INTO GEAR.IN DECEMBER OF 2015 I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO BEECHMONTFORD,THEY SAID IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND A NEW CLUTCH.TO WHICH MY CAR WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR 42DAYS.BECAUSE THE PROBLEM IS SO WIDE SPREAD THE PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER AND MY CAR WAS DEEMED TO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE.THIS WAS COVERED UNDER A RECALL.
