NISSAN ROGUE AIR-CONDITIONING PROBLEMS

Owners of the Nissan Rogue have complained of frequent and unrepaired air-conditioning problems.  Causes seem to vary,   “While there are a variety of reasons your Nissan Rogue air conditioning won’t work, the most common 3 are a refrigerant leak, an electrical climate control issue, or a problem with the air conditioning compressor.”

Broken Air Conditioning

Here are some typical reported complaints,

“I have the same problem. The dealership can’t duplicate the problem while it is at the shop. I’m under warranty but they won’t replace anything unless they see the blowers not working. I can’t take the car on long trips or drive it in conditions when the windows might fog up because it is dangerous when it stops working! Are there any technical bulletins out on this?”

“I have a 2016 Nissan Rogue with less then 10,000 miles and the air conditioning system went out. I had problems with Nissan before and thought I’d give that other chance cuz this car has good gas mileage. But I think I’m done with Nissan after this.  I have a 2015 Nissan rouge the a/c stops working after an hour. they told me this was normal.”

“I have a 2016 rogue that has 19,000 miles on it. coming home from camp I’ve notice that my ac stopped working and on that day it just happen to be 103F degrees.   They cant say we cant duplicate the problem. 3 days later they called and said the a/c compressor is the problem and they replaced it. picked up my cars drove it 3 miles down the road guess what yup it problem is still there. I was smart enough to video the problem as I was driving the car back to the dealer. walked in told the service that I have just drove my car off the lot and the problem is still there showed him the video. another 2 days in the shop now they come up with another problem they said it a intake temp sensor.”

2014 HYUNDAI SONATA HYBRID WITH SERVICE BRAKES PROBLEMS

I PURCHASED SKY BLUE 2014 HYUNDAI SONATA HYBRID LIMITED ON AUGUST 31ST, 2014. I DROVE THE CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS, DURING THIS TIME I NOTICED AND FELT WHEN I BRAKED THE CAR DID NOT STOP IMMEDIATELY, THERE WAS A DELAYED EFFECT. AT THIS TIME THE BREAK LIGHT ILLUMINATED. I CHECKED THE MANUAL WHICH INDICATED THE CAR CANNOT BE DRIVEN IN THIS STATE AND IMMEDIATELY TOOK THE CAR IN FOR A CHECKUP AND SERVICE TO DEALERSHIP ON SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2014 SO THAT THE ILLUMINATED BREAK LIGHT COULD BE CHECKED. THE TECHNICIAN SPENT FIVE DAYS ON THE CAR AND DISCOVERED LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL ON A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH 637 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THE CAUSE REASON IS: LOOSE FITTING. ” LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL ON A BRAND NEW VEHICLE WITH 637 MILES” I HAD A FURTHER SERVICE ON THE VEHICLE AT DEALERSHIP ON DECEMBER 27TH 2014 FOR HAVING 3500 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. I REQUESTED A DETAILED BRAKE CHECK DUE TO THE EARLIER ISSUE BUT THEY ASSURED ME IT HAD BEEN MADE CORRECTION. ON JANUARY 6TH 2015 I HAD JUST PICKED UP MY SON FROM PRESCHOOL AND WAS HEADED TO MCDONALDS TO BUY MY SON LUNCH. MY SPEED WAS 30 MPH IN A 55 MPH SPEED ZONE. I REMEMBERED VERY VIVIDLY APPLYING THE BRAKES; THE CAR JUST DID NOT STOP AND HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED WITH SUFFICIENT TIME AND SEVERITY BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT REACT OR STOP. MY FEELING IS THAT THE BRAKE LIGHT INCIDENT WAS THE PRECURSOR TO AN ALLEGEDLY DEFECTIVE BREAKING SYSTEM WHICH COULD BE AN INHERENT DEFECT ALLEGEDLY.

2014 FORD FUSION WITH ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL , ENGINE , SERVICE PROBLEMS

I AVOIDED ANOTHER VEHICLE THAT CUT ME OFF ON THE EXPRESSWAY BY HONKING THE HORN, SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES AND QUICKLY CHANGING LANES. AS SOON AS I MANEUVERED INTO AN EMPTY LANE, MY VEHICLES INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT DARK, THE HORN STOPPED SOUNDING, ALL GAUGES WENT TO ZERO AND THE CAR LOST ALL ELECTRIC POWER (INCLUDING STEERING ASSIST) AND THE ENGINE STUMBLED. AFTER A SECOND OR TWO EVERYTHING ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL RESET. ONCE EVERYTHING CAME BACK ON, THE ENGINE WAS ON A REDUCED POWER MODE AND PUSHING THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR DID NOT MAKE THE CAR ACCELERATE. WITH THE VEHICLE RAPIDLY LOOSING SPEED, I WAS ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE INTO THE SHOULDER OF THE EXPRESSWAY. I SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO NEUTRAL AND TURNED THE CAR OFF BY MOVING THE KEY TO “ACCESSORY” AND THEN RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. ONCE RESTARTED, I SHIFTED BACK INTO DRIVE AND DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR. THE CAR ACCELERATED NORMALLY AND ALL ELECTRONIC FUNCTIONS WERE WORKING. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYED EVERYTHING NORMALLY. THERE WAS NO “CHECK ENGINE” OR OTHER WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND NO WARNING MESSAGES WERE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SCREEN. I DROVE MY CAR ANOTHER 6 MILES TO THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES.
