“I had a 2016 Acura MDX with this transmission…the 4 to 5 gear he talks about is true… it felt like losing power for a second when i tried to accelerate. i REALLY HATE this transmission and the way it feels. I sold the car after 4 months of ownership. Thats how much I hated this transmission.
This doesn´t explain all the issues this transmission is having with absolute shite gear shifts… The Acura MDX that uses this trans is a big example, terrible transmission software makes it feel worse than the 6 speed it replaces. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7EMGnjEhmE
There are a number of complaints about the Dodge 2014 Jeep Cherokee transmission and our office is handling a class action involving this problem. A typical complaint, “First at highway speed it was very (very) hard to accelerate when you wanted to change line and make pass. It took ridiculous long time to downshift and found the necessary power.”
